about

All these songs were written by Jebediah Springfield between the Summers of 2011 and 2012. Both Peyton Foley and Brian Caffrey played guitar and did vocals, Timmi Sterritt played bass and did vocals, and Gavin Caffrey played drums. Hindered with distance, My Parents Taught Me a Lesson in Bomb Shelters took a frustratingly long amount of time to be written and recorded, but the time spent, the shows played, and the friends made helped make the process a special and memorable experience. This ep is about the conflict between the feelings of a safe, yet stale, redundant life, and an exciting yet uneasy life of change. All the songs were recorded live by Scott Trinh in August of 2012 at Earthshaking Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Tom Lovejoy and Andy Fritz provided additional vocals on the first song. This is a documentation of four good friends writing music, acting their age, not acting their age, and watching a lot of The Simpsons.
